Slumnote Behind The Scene

Since we are deeply engaging and happily working on this to this project I’d like to share others thought about the slumnote, taking others experience and knowledge will be the best essential part of this application to become success so here the list of others thought and experience about slumnote.

REYN’S ROOM

No matter how simple (8-peso hundred-pad notebook) or special (bought from NBS or Expressions or personalized with pages of different colors and a glittering ink of pen) a slum book has been made, it always reminds me of my sweet teenagehood. Where every girls and every boys always get excited on writing, and reading on other’s slum entry.

“What is Love? ” and we answered: “Love is a feeling that you feel when you feel a feeling that you haven’t felt before.”

Google D3vf3st 2010 at Manila Philippines

July 6, 2010 I was able to attend the Google Devfest (D3vf3st) at TechnoHub Commonwealth Avenue UP Campus, Quezon City although I’m not feeling well that day it’s still nice to attend at cool and relaxing place while listening to latest product and tools of a giant search engine Google.

The information very exhausted for a one whole day event, there is a lot and exciting tools to know directly from Google and it’s nice to know that they pushing HTML5, with their latest browser chrome.

But as I expected they don’t answer my question.

Is Google going to build or having a plan to create their owned social networking?

The answer is pretty straight forward.

Sorry! We can’t comment on that!

I know it’s still a rumor about Google Me and according to this post of mashable.com

The big rumor that’s recently been making the rounds is Google Me, Google’s upcoming social network and a full-fledged competitor to Facebook.

While there’s virtually nothing official on the record for this project, Kevin Rose recently said it exists, and now more and more people close to either Google() or Facebook have been confirming that Google indeed has something along these lines in the works.

Google is working on a social service to rival Facebook, if web rumors are to be believed.

Philippines Should Embraces Free & Open Source Software!

When anti-piracy drive focuses on enterprises in the Philippines, do you think that it’s about time for Philippines move on a Free & Open Source Software (FOSS)?

May be it’s about time to challenge our government to teach FOSS in university as part of all major curriculum.

Let’s face that it takes 6 month to 12 month for an average family to save money to buy a second hand or cheapest desktop computer in the market. And it’s hard for them to invest in an operating system or application that they only known.

While most of small and mid size business attempt to use pirated software why don’t we give a support to this company and teach them to use FOSS?

Don’t push them to commit a crime and chasing them latter to pay for it.

140 Character of Information.

According to review and prediction of most technology website and blog Mobile is one of technology that will rock the year 2010.

But how a Filipino tech guy can use mobile in development where there is only a few Filipino who owned a mobile that has quick access to internet service and where most of our mobile just do basic things like 140 character of text or information.
But still we can use mobile through SMS transaction by texting an old way of communication with a given code format to do transaction in the server.
Using mobile in rich way of communication is too far behind in our imagination since most mobile user here in Philippines uses it for text messaging.
As we still struggle for fast internet connection let still use the old way of mobile technology through SMS.
